So did you cut weight on the car because if you didn't I'd weigh it BC I checked in on it and it says 3,200 lbs?
regardless, 3:55 gearing coupled with 2700 lbs for the car and 1600 for an open deck car hauler is 4,300 lbs. First you need to find out what VIN# you have and match it to this table. You will have to weigh in on a scale to be sure.
Here are the Transgo kits for your ride with the 4.7L with a 45RFE transmission: You can see what they do and they are the best thing for your transmissions.

Durango 2WD 5.9L V-8 (f) 5850

Durango 4WD 5.9L V-8 (g) 7300
(f) 3.55 axle ratio
(g) 3.92 axle ratio
2003 ratings were reduced from 2002 ratings partially based on Government regs. If the above works for your needs, the 2002 will meet or exceed those figures.

Then your in luck!
Take the truck in and get the Transgo kit. If you do it when you do a transmission fluid filter then the shop is at the valve body already. It will cost like $150 for just the fluid/filter so do it at the same time for another $150. Tottal should be like $300 plus the cooler. If you have the 4.7L then;
