Default Throttle body Spacer

I recently installed a throttle body spacer on my 2000 dodge durango 4.7 V8. At first everything was fine , about 4 weeks later my automatic transmission started shifting really hard. my check engine light came on and read Throttle Positioning Sensor Error. After talking to some friends and mechanics , I soon Decided to remove the throttle body spacer and see if the problem would fix itself. I continued to have the same hard shifting. So i went and bought a new Throttle Positioning Sensor and all my problems were fixed. Not wanting to ruin the new TPS i have'nt installed the Throttle Body Spacer again but was curious if it had anything to do with TPS going bad or if it was just time to replace the TPS? was woundering if any one has had this same prob and could offer up any advice!

Yea... forget the spacer. It is junk and snake oil. Spacers are good for carbs but next to useless for TBs. Just forget about it.

They sell them, but it doesn't mean it works.

I was going to say they sell things all the time that don't work... like Enzyte, TB spacers and 4.7s... but I waiting to hear from another with the P word first. Paperweight. The sucker word adds to the truth.

Sorry Xmoveover, just the facts. You are truly better off without it.

Better to just upgrade your throttle body itself. Contact Fastman, his prices are reasonable and you will see much better response from a bigger throttlebody vs using a spacer.

Bought mine two years ago and never installed it. Looked at it once and realized I have been had for $115.00. It supposedly swirls the air, yes swirls the air, into the throttle / air intake plane....

Everyone tells him he's been had and I get the arrows. Some shoot the messenger when they hear what they don't like. ROTFL. I thought my initial post was okay. Guess not! Oh well. Such is life. Glad to see EVERYONE else agreed.

I can shoulder the damage for the rest of us. Juggernaut ya know.

Here's the internet tough guy for you... LOL
