I think there might be one linked in the FAQ thread, but I could be wrong.

It really is as simple as it sounds. Just install the shackles on the rear leaf springs, then turn the torsion bars 4 complete turns per inch of lift. If I recall correctly, 3 inches is the most you want to go with this method.

4 turns per inch of lift, but 2 inches is the maximum you can safely get out of this method

Anyone else notice DangRango revived this thread from 2009? haha

Anyways this lift is much much easier than people realize, however you can only safely get 2 inches out of it like sharps said. All you do is install the shackles in rear and crank the front, nothing to it. Just make sure you have your alignment set after you do this and install some kind of eletricuction device or dump radioactive waste on the torsion bar adjustment bolts, those are off limits to the lazy shop workers from now on haha.

Yup, in the FAQ's

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...-bar-lift.html

There are others, just go to the top of the 1st Gen Durango Forum and choose "Do It Yourself (top questions and answers) FAQ's"

So we decided belltech 6400? And after I do this I need to get all four wheels aligned? Hydras post confused me about a 4 wheel alignment to reset the front end camber.

No need to be confused. Just simplify that statement to "it will throw your alignment off". Just take it in for a 4 wheel alignment, but make sure to let them know that it's been lifted and not to adjust the ride height. (Basically, you don't really need to understand what all that means, just make sure to pass the info along to the guys doing the work. They'll know what it means... Or at least they damn well should if they're getting paid to do that sort of work.)

Gotcha, ill just tell them that i used the torsion bars to try to block the radioactive leak in Japan, so theyre radioactive.

I'm not a big expert on lifting and/or lowering, but my understanding is that the same shackles can be used to do both. Just depends on how you install them.
