Default Durango Oil Filler TSB

Hey Gang,

I purchased the following items in TSB 090100A

53032126AA Baffle, Oil Fill Housing
53032389AC Cap, Oil Fill Housing

The Oil Fill Cap look just like the old one. Not for sure what difference there is.
The other item looks like you might put it in the oil filler neck. Not for sure what it does though. I have attached a picture. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That does down inside the oil filler neck. and can go in only one way. Guessing its cleaner, than the old one.

How does that help the condensation/emulsification problem?

it allows the "snot"(as i call it) to sit on top of that instead of being sucked back into the engine (im assuming you have a 4.7l in your rig) and you might need a different cap to fit on after you put that piece into the filler neck, if i was home id take a picture of mine for you, after you put that in (not sure if you have it now or not) you will most likely notice a white build up on it and ont he bottom of the oil cap when you change the oil in the winter, that piece must just be in order to stop it from being mixed back in with the oil,

p.s. i only get the build up in the winter ymmv

Yep! +1. That is the snot fix for the 4.7s.

The snot is what some confuse for sludge. It is not sludge of course. It is indeed the emulsified oil and water combo 'fixed' by that bypass tubing.
