I need to replace the door lock actuators on both front doors. I have looked all over for this part but can't find it. They are for a 2001 4.7l D.

They have them. As do all dealerships. What part numbers are you using?

not sure what the part numbers are I'll have to check. And its not that the locks make a noise, they just dont work all together. The front drivers side door will not lock, the alarm still works but it will not lock, and the front passenger side door will not open from the outside.

 

It is the actuators. Just replace them. Part numbers are in my threads.

 

Ok, I FINALLY found both lock actuators online, should be in this week! thanks for all the help.

 

Front door took me 2 1/2 hours. Rear door only 15 minutes after doing the front. My threads above have a lot of hints and tips. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
