Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to know if there was a way to check the amount voltage from a stock coil or if there is a way to measure it. I don't know if it needs to be replaced or not??
Thanks for the input
You dont measure the voltage output. You want to test resistance across the primary and the secondary of the coil to determine if its bad. Also make sure its getting the proper input voltage to the coil. The voltage input and the coil resistances determine the voltage output.
Thanks Brad, I actually found the procedure in my Haynes manual and the ranges for primary and secondary resistance. Turns out my coil was very weak.
Thanks for the help
