Heater core
I agree with shrpshtr325 an would not want to put a use heater coil in at all, Thats really a waste of time geting one from a junk yard an don't know how long its been setting there drying out an be clogged up with dryed up water in it an rust,,
I would not recommend it... never trust ANYTHING on youtube because any idiot with camera can make a video.
Blowing any air on the heater coil will certainly destroy it. Even a mild low of water in a flush as blown them out. Problem is the stocker coil is thin and cheap. Sux, but that is the reality we live with.

I'm in the process of tearing apart my dash to get at the heater core. I noticed that the heater core I bought doesn't have any tubes on it. Anybody know what's up with that? It looks like alot of them come that way. I'm not exactly sure what to do for tubes.
Has anybody done a heater core on a 2002 4.7? Looks like the 98 and 99 and 2000 are quite a bit different to do. Going by the 2002 factory service manual and what I see in my 2002, it is shaping up to be a tedious and frustrating process. Wonder if any 2002 guys have any tricks they can share.

Hello.
I went through this ordeal last summer and I have pictures and can send you if you like.
The heater core does not come with the tubes, but has a tube that will be reused. It will be clear to you when you remove the dash. Good luck with that. Let me know if you need any pictures.I do not know how to add them to this post.

Johann G.
