It was the top socket. The contacts were pressed in and not same height as the others. Had to heat up the contact point with soldering iron and pull up and out so that it was even with the other one.I almost bought a combination flasher.

I am glad that you found the problem and hopefully I did assist in the troubleshooting area. This would be helpful to others with the same problem.

Thanks for the suggestions.I am assuming it came from alot of city driving and heat those lights give off siting at red lights.

I figured it was the connections. Glad to send you down the right path. Those can be a PITA to get right. I swapped my tails three different times and each time it was a bit of a project to get it all right. I had a good idea that was the issue.
