For some reason 10 ga. sheet metal keeps sticking in my head as a good thickness for skid plates...

whats ga stand for? galvanized? i read somewhere 1/4 inch aluminum should be a good thickness, that is if your not planning on doing any crazy upside down rock crawling lol. If so then probably like 2inch thick steel should be good haha.

my only worry is how would i bend the sheet metal? i dont have a big industrial sized bender press. I want to make it look nice. but i could do like duranged said and just screw it on from one side of the frame to the other.

Ga-Gauge.
And yes, aluminum is the boat to toat...

Past the "take it easy on me" front diff, your main "skid" concern is the gas tank...

Yea that's my main concern. It's the biggest and it sticks out quite a bit. I'll just cover that up .
