Yeah, but the only way I found was to actually go under the hood.

Hey Dan, just send you a PM regarding the alarm system fix, and Shrp, todays my day off so I finally have time to get to work on some of the problems, is the TRS inside the transmission? I poked my head down there and didn't see anything relating to pictures I found on google of the TRS's on d's...Im relatively knowledgeable about cars, but not to sure i wanna break open the valve body. Regarding the fix Dan suggested, do any of you guys think that a car with a factory alarm system would require it? Since this fix is with issues resulting from aftermarket alarm systems...just wanna get a little more feedback before i start ripping my d apart.

Thanks for the input thus far.

-Troy

take a look at this pdf file

http://www.mediafire.com/?dccgymgvzqw

it explains where and how to remove the trs, it is instead of the nuetral safety switch on the older transmissions

Dan, your the man, your right on the temporary fix part, but at least ill never be stuck anywhere for hours on in until my D complies with me, haha. Thanks for the pictures and all the help.

I would assume its safe to re hook the connector after it starts? Dan, are you still using this method, or did you actually figure out the root problem?

The issue happened the other day, and i rolled the car back about 2 feet and the gear shift indicator went from N (obviously not showing up around neutral) to drive. I shifted up to R and it went into neutral and I then started it....wtf?

My mind tells me linkage issue once again, but if it can start with Dans method, i think it may be the NSS.
