Red face Oil and tranny change question

Hello everyone. I would like to start off by saying that this is a very helpful forum that has a lot of information for that avid Dodge owner. I myself just recently acquired a 2003 DD 4.7L. It's my 1st Dodge and it's in great shape inside and out. I was looking to maintain the oil and tranny fluids/filters and was wondering if you readers could possibly recommend a good oil/filter and tranny fluid/filter to help with the upkeep of my DD drivetrain.

Thanks for your help and insight on this, all.

Welcome to DF
For me i use mopar filters, engine or transmission. I even have a honda pilot that uses a mopar filter. You can use any type of filters you want too. For the oil, trans ATF+4 and the engine 10w/30 or 5w/30. Engine oil i use valoline.

I think I recall a thread here somewhere about oil and filters. Did you check the search?

There is a lot of info on here about the use of oil filters and oil. I use Mobil One High Mileage Fully Synthetic 10W-30 for summer and winter use. Filters are of your choice but as i continually learn I would chose Mobil One Fully Synthetic filters right now but they are like $12 bucks. Second would be Bosch filters.

Mopar atf+4 trans oil w/ factory filters.
Mobil1 Fully synthetic engine oil 10w30 w/ M1 filter.
That's what I use.

Hey, thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. At least now I have a starting point. For Indydurango and hydrashocker, when I get a little more time, I will surely look thru the threads on here for the info on the oil/tranny stuff. Thanks again, everyone. Have a great day.
