Question hmmm

actually, I talked to a mechanic friend about the rear-end possibility...his response to me was "then why wouldn't it go into reverse when 4-Low was selected"...interesting concept...is there a way???

Most likely ^^ your issue ^^ is a bad transmission if it wouldn't move in 4X4.

We are talking about a very strange issue where a person lost a rear end and the thread was hi-jacked.
