Default Ambient Air Temp Sensor

Several questions:

Would a 2001 4.7L Durango have an Ambient Air Temp Sensor even if the vehicle doesn't have a compass/temp console?

If it did would it be where the Caravan has it inside the front bumper?

If the Durango does NOT have such a sensor is there a sensor to measure the temp of the incoming air into the motor and if so where would that be located?

Thanks for any info!

IF you have one it should be under the hood.

1. Open hood

Facing the windshield look to your left and down it should be just inboard of the passengers side headlight about level and attached to the frame

Default Ambient temp on 2005 Dodge Ram

My ambient temp reads 130* on my 2005 Dodge Ram (4.7L). I replaced the sensor but it still reads 130*. Any ideas on what is wrong?

You could try to post that question in the the correct section: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-caravan-23/

Yes, it is called an Air Charge Temperature Sensor and it is located under the hood where sharps posted. VVVVVVV This one tells the temperature of the motor so it can properly enrich the fuel/air ratio for the correct burn.

All this one VVVVVVVV does is monitor the air temperature for the outside air for an overhead display and does nothing with the way the motor runs.
