Default Rough idling

I had to replace my MAP sensor because it was faulty and truck felt like it was going to stall when I was driving and took my foot off gas to slow down. Works fine when driving but still on occasion when i'm driving in town and stopped at traffic light the rpms dip and truck feels like it wants to stall. When I get going and stop again, it's fine? Any thoughts? Could the sensor be bad?

You should check the IAC which is located on your throttle body. It would be helpful to know what engine you do have and what year.

i agree more info needed, year, engine, miles

i could also see a tps being behind it, but check the IAC first

What is the IAC? I have the V8 4.7L engine with 64750 miles.

IAC is idle air control valve, should be on the back of the throttle body, almost against the firewall

Does the 2001 Durango have an EGR valve? Could that also be the problem?

i dont think trucks sold in the US have an EGR on them, but if you are outside of the states you could check

Got my truck back and they couldn't find anything wrong. It never idled rough when they had it. They did have to clean the throttle body again. Too much deposit. They told me to switch gasoline from HESS to exxon or shell or sunoco, and to stop using gas streatments. They said it just adds deposits to engine and maybe thats why idle would be rough. Going to try and see if that works.
