Default P0111

i was under the truck today fixing the cracked evap hoses on the charcoal canister, and when i went to clear the cel (we have a scanner) there were the expected evap codes as well as

P0111 Intake Air Temp Sens Perf

which wouldnt clear at first(the thing that really made me post about it), after i started the truck, and let it idle, then shut it down, the code cleared without a problem, any ideas what this means (the truck was, and still is sitting in the sun all day but that shouldnt matter)

o and btw, the cel stayed off even tho this code was stored, so its clearly not a major issue, im just OCD about whats going on

My SuperChips clears all codes at once. That is why I was wondering what you were using.

this usually does clear all codes at once, which is why i posted about the code being there, it caught me off gaurd when that one didnt go away (after it cleared the codes it says 'codes erased x remaining'
the x is USUALLY a 0, this time around it was a 1 and thats the one that was left

That is the Air Charge Sensor (Air temp sensor for the engine).

i know that hydra, lmao im trying to figure out what would cause it to trip the code without touching the sensor, and to be gone on its own now (hasnt set the light back off, yet) and maybe why it took starting the truck and shutting it off to get it to erase

Just replace it or wait and see if it is a fluke. Sounds like it did not transmit causing the issue. This is the usual cause of them going out.
