Default Radio fuse instantly blowing when inserted. please help :(

The radio, back wiper, dome lights, and electric rear view mirror adjuster all stopped working. I tried turning off power to all of them and putting in a fuse and it's still blowing. assuming it's the radio we're going to try pulling it out and try hot wiring it. don't know what else to do. please post other suggestions.

If you are going to pull the radio out, unplug it completely then put the fuse in. If the fuse then stays good you know the radio is grounding out and needs replacing.

i vaugely remember someone else having this problem not too long ago (ok, before your time, but not long for me) and his rear wiper motor was not reseating all the way giving it a continuous current draw which was enough to keep blowing the fuse, that is where i would start, jmho

On the early minivans the rear wiper motor was shorting out the air bag fuse.I would start unpluging section of the truck and see which one was causing the fuse to blow.

Get a multi-meter and find the short to ground.
