Sorry to break off topic, but what year is that bowtie in the background? That is a nice looking ride. One of my favorite bowtie styles.

Several years ago my step-dad had a 68 Chevy 4x4 short box. It has long since met the scrap heap in the sky.

He moved on to a 95 Dodge Ram 2500, but nowadays he is driving an 02 Quad-cab Dakota.

I bought mine this summer.
2003 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4 Loaded with the 4.7L with a little over 106k for $5500. It had some scratches and a few small dings but no rust. Always been garage kept.

$2500- about a year ago 2001 durango 5.9 r/t 4x4 barely hit 100k miles and had to rebuild the engine 4 months ago as well as a few other minor things that seem to be the norm with these vehicles..

Figured I would chime in on this...my first Durango is a 2001 SLT+ with at the time around 225k on the odometer, previous owners did some major highway commuting got it for $1300 as it had a cracked front window...ended up having to invest about $700 more into it when the trans went out so around $2100 and change for it...

Now my Red Durango...has a bit of a back story on her. First off, it has a Salvage (Rebuilt title in Nevada now) Title on it...it appears to have been rear ended at one time or another...back bumper cover is off a black donor Durango...The prior owner knew nothing about cars...and I mean nothing...he had it for about 18 months and could not get the rear tail lights to work....so he put it on FaceBook Marketplace for $600...interest was peaked to say the least....when he couldn't answer any of my questions he dropped the price down to $500...offered him $450 and he took it...ran and drove great on the way home...Had no speedo and the abs/brake light was on and the 4wd lever was flopping around...Back of my mind I was thinking, OK, worse case scenario I have a complete parts vehicle for my '01. Oh and the seller blamed the tail light/turn signal issue on "the aftermarket stereo install" and his mechanic confirmed that was probably the issue...That was the first thing I tackled...Dude complained that the original owner had "funky" euro style lights with LED's..so he replaced them with factory tail lights but couldn't get them working...so I popped the drivers side off to see what I was facing...I thought they had cut the harness and patched something funky in...nope was factory...looked closer, he had forced the plug on backwards...turned it over correctly. and the lights worked like a charm! Got everything fixed, new windshield installed to meet the "safety" inspection, smog and safety check for around 200....so into it around $700 not too shabby if I say so...It has about 209k on it and as far as the Salvage title goes, yeah it brings the value way down, there is no evidence of frame damage, it has the complete towing package and the wife loves the color Chili Pepper Red...Win win for me

2003 Durango R/T - $4,990. Just had the transmission rebuilt with a 12 month warranty. Heads redone at 80k, current mileage 124k. Body and interior are in great condition. Runs like a champ so far.

Bought my 2003 SLT Plus with 335K KM on it 4-5 months ago for $1500. I put $200 into it and have been driving it ever since. It runs beautiful. Needs rocker work and a hatch as well as door bottom work, but it is still solid even after all the salt we throw down around here. Great truck!

PS: This is the good side, it needs no work for rust.
