disconnecting the battery should NOT erase the key fob programming unless there is something wrong w/ the CTM (the receiver unit for the fob)

Thanks again shrpshtr325. I did the manual reset and the check engine light went away. Does this mean the problem's likely fixed, or will it take a while to know for sure?

it will take a little while to be sure, if it stays off for a couple weeks id venture a guess that the issue is solved since it takes a few cold-hot-cold cycles to set off the code

any auto parts store should have them, and yes i just cut them to size myself

keep in mind that there is now a kit available w/ the correct hoses so you no longer have to build your own set. (i dont have the part # unfortunately, but i know that a couple guys on here have used them)

Don't buy those kits. I went through 4 kits from RockAuto and they split after time since they weren't fuel rated. Just go buy fuel rated hoses and clamps.

Default Agreed.

So SmokinJoe02 said "don't buy those kits they are garbage"

Yup... sure as hell are... mine often don't last a month.

This is the kit he is talking about
Amazon.com: Dorman 46020 HELP! Evaporising Hose Kit: Automotive Amazon.com: Dorman 46020 HELP! Evaporising Hose Kit: Automotive

I have bought it from rock auto KOI and some other local chain... always the same "HELP!" branded Dorman **** hoses.

Someone in the comments down there on the amazon listing said
"This replaces Mopar part# 5166499AA."

Which is really handy... because google gave me this...
http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-mopar/5166499aa

And IMHO it looks right to me... so I just ordered them from that Tasca place... it says "Genuine OEM Mopar" I'm hoping I get more life out of these... my first set of hoses lasted me from 2003 to 2015... 12 YEARS... the Dorman junk I consider myself lucky to get 12 DAYS lol.

I know.. first time poster with links to buy stuff is generally scam stuff... but I was looking here for the part numbers and kept this page open for when I found them because I was not going to buy Dorman again and I figured you all would be happy to have the info when I sorted it out.

Have a good one,
Chris

Just a quick question - could replacing these hoses also help with the P1495 Leak Detection Pump Solenoid error code?
