Default Frame Washable air filter?

Anyone use a Fram Washable premium air filter, WA3901.
Washable but not oiled from what I could read. Still buy one and keep it almost forever.
Just wonder about air flow characteristics.
Better then paper or not.

if you want a washable filter go with K&N drop in, oiled, washable and will last forever, pays for itself in a couple changes

The Fram WA3901 is washable. Rec wash every 12000 miles and last up to 20 washes.
Drop in. Now tell me why K&N is better.
Performance and air flow are my questions.
Not durability to be more clear.

how much cheaper is the fram? notice how you say it last UP to 20 washes, an k&n filter will be able to to much more. Plus the k&n is KNOWN for providing good air flow thru there filters.

Sure give it an try if the fram filter is much less but i would just cough up the $$ for the k&N, but hey, thats just me
