Default New tire recommendations??

I have 265/75r16's on my D now and will be getting new tires next weekend. I was thinking about a few different kinds and was wondering if anyone has any of these tires and how they like them, how they ride, how they are in the snow, and how they wear??

1st choice Michelin LTX M/S

2nd choice Toyo Open Country M/T

3rd choice BFG All-Terrain M/T

Thanks for the input!!

This forum is full of threads about tire preferences. Do a search and you'll find that there are as many preferences as there are members. With that said, I just bought a set of Destination AT's by Firestone, my 2nd set. They're relatively inexpensive, ride nice and look good. I think they are on sale right now too (through Sept) for the but 3 get the 4th free promo. You'll have to walk into the Firestone shop to see or hear a promo though. Not sure why, but it was a nice surprise for me when I went in about 2 weeks ago.

I love my Michelin LTX's.
I have Michelin's on every car in the family.

I will put my plus 2 on the Michelins.......I have had my x-rads for almost four years and have been very impressed with them. I would recommend that you get a good quality install and get the lifetime balance/rotation pakage and USE IT!!! I got mine at Costco and take them in for balance/rotation just like clockwork every 6K miles. Also check tire pressure and fill with Nitrogen as needed to maintain even wear.

Plus 2 on Michelins, just a different model... Tell the group a little about your driving conditions that might help provide better suggestions.

Mine are mostly highway, no off-road.

I have Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmors on my '00. They've been nothing but good to me and my truck. I just get them rotated a little more often than most people rotate their tires because of the aggressive tread.

tread pattern shouldnt affect rotation schedule, if you drive more aggressively than most (i do, oops) but its really not necessary, its just a little more work, it wont hurt anything as long as you rotate them on an even (certain mileage) schedule

I rotate them more often because when they get pretty damn noisy as they wear. And I've never replaced the shocks after 135K miles so my tires slightly wear unevenly.

I hear a lot of good things about the toyo's but a lot of my friends have nitto's that are basically the same but cheaper..might look into them. Haven't heard any complaints on them either.
