Fuel injectors
my fuel injector is leaking from the top of the injector i replaced it but it still has a leak i think the fuel manifold it attaches to might be bent somewhere. how hard and how much is this to replace?
it's a durango 2003 5.9L SLT

indy, i think he means the fuel rail, but i could be mistaken, i dont believe the fuel rail is difficult to replace, you just need to tools to get the fuel lines off (im not sure off the top of my head how they come off)
the tool is an easy tool.. you gotta ask for it at your parts store.. kinda hard to explain but its used for removing A/C lines and Fuel lines.. It just slides inside the union to open up the clip.. to remove the fuel rail you need do the following:
1)deprime the fuel system.. pull the fuel pump relay and then try to start the car for a few minutes.. until it feels like it has no fuel hitting the engine at all..
2) disconnect main fuel line
3) lift fuel rails off injectors.. this is done by simply pulling.. (they can be a knuckle breaker) its just the O-rings and gravity holding the rail on there..
4) REPLACE O-rings (2 per injector) and install in reverse...
It will take a second to get fuel back to the engine but you'll know when it does... make sure to check over your injectors really good when its running... you don't want ANY leaking what so ever..

A few pictures of the tool because its kinda hard to explain.. you're gonna need 5/16" for the main fuel line (on the 98-99 Ds, probably the same on Newer Ds). Larger size required for A/C lines.

thanks everyone i did swap out o rings but i think there is still a small leak. after about 10 minutes of engine running the very back one starts to shimmer. right now it chugs at idle and around 40 -50 mph it shakes violently. but thats the only range in which it shakes. in every other range it accelerates just fine. is it possible there is something in side an injector or the head?
