Default will not stay running when cold

I have a '00 D with 191000 miles. When the engine is cold the engine will start but die right away. If I throttle it it will stay running but if I let off the pedal it will die. When the engine is warm it runs fine with no problems. I have replaced the tps. That is all that I have done. I don't really have time to fix it. If it might be a quick fix I will do it, but I am about to take it to a shop to get it fixed. Would like to see if I could some ideas here first. What a great place to start. Thanks.

1) Learn to search the forum. Low idle stumble is a very common topic.

2) Most likely, you have a dead/dying/failing under load battery. Replace the battery.

Welcome to DF
You could have a bad temp sensor. Ck the connections. The 5.9L engines have this problem with age. Thats if you have a 5.9L engine, i'm guessing you do.

the other thing i would look into if that doesnt work is to clean the tb and to clean/replace the IAC motor on the back of the throttle body
