Default Electric cooling fan

Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum. I'm not new to Dodge, however. My current 2003 Durango, is my second Durango and my fourth Dodge truck (five if you count my 67 Dart)

The Truck;
2003 Dodge Durango 2WD Sport 62,000 miles
Bearing, on electric cooling (radiator) fan is vibrating and making noise.

Me;
49 years old. Basic knowledge of automobile mechanics. I have a collection of hand tools; wrenches, ratchets/socket sets, screw drivers, etc.

My questions are;
How big a challenge is changing the electric cooling (radiator) fan? Will, I have to take out the radiator? And/or the A/C condenser? Is it something I can accomplish with a few hand tools? How, much time, should I, plan on such a task?

Thanks,
James "Bulldog" Miller

You should have to take off the fan shroud and then the electric fan. You should be able to get to it pretty easy with basic tools....IMHO

What hydra said. Basic tools and some time will get the efan replaced. You can read what I went through to get mine done, Here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ng-colors.html

yup should not be a big deal, half a day at most if you take beer breaks every 15 minutes (maybe more depending on if you drink like most of us do . . .)

Working on trucks drinking is like bar-bq-in and drinking.......It goes hand in hand, besides how are you supposed to do it sober?

Sorry for the late reply.
Lacking a place to work on the truck (I live in a condo). I took it to a local garage they fixed it up for me .
Now the Durango has 74,000 miles on it.

74,000 is still pretty good! My '03 has double that. I also love that Roadmaster!

Thanks It's ironic that it has 74,000 miles as well. We've had it 42 years!
