Default Wiring colors

Hi guys. I was wiring a a pusher fan in front of the a/c condenser and I installed a fan control with a thermal switch. What I want to know is what wire could I draw power from from the power distributoin box that won't blow a fuse. The fan is an electric fan made by torqflo it draws about 11 amps.

From the power distribution center under the hood, grab 'key on power' from the Fuel Pump relay.

HTH.

Don't go by color... They vary from year to year and engine to engine...

Thanks Neo, so which prong is the "key on power" for the fuel pump relay?

I was also thinking about a pusher fan in front of the a/c condenser but it looked like the grill is too close. What diameter is the fan and what is the thickness?

Hi lv the dia. is 14 inches and the thickness is 3 5/8 inches. I had to do some modding to the grill and plastic bumper piece but I got it to fit right against the driver side of the condenser. I used 2 of the push through zip ties to help hold it in place. I hooked it up to a themal switch and the thermal switch to the battery. That's why I want to find out which wire I can use to only give it power when the ignition is on. I set the thermal switch too low and almost ran my battery down! I caught it in time but I had to set the temp. kinda high before the switch kicked in. I don't want to burn my motor so I want to keep the temp low around 195 or 200.

If it's on a fuse then hard wire to the PDC input from the battery.

Hydra, thanks for the tip. I have it hooked up to the battery directly, isn't that the same as hard wiring it to the battery input to the PDC? I have an inline 30amp fuse connected to the switch and I just want to find out which terminal or fuse I can use in the PDC so the fan will only be powered when the engine is on. I don't need it to be "hot" all the time.
