rolling my window down yesterday and on the way back up it jammed about half way. i pulled the regulator and check out what happened.

somehow these two white..... spring loaded things have come out of the black housing. not only that but the cable is tight and i can't pull these back to reseat them.

think i need a whole new assembly? i can't figure out how these white parts came out of this housing.

also, is that track bent or should it have a curve to it?

 

Curve should be fine.

If the inserts came out without breaking, they will go back in. Work at it. With that said, probably worn which all owed the to come out in the first place. if it happens again, replace entire mechanism.

i played around with it for a while but decided to just replace it. $100 and about an hour all together. i guess it could have been worse.

 

Where did you get the replacement? Part number for others?

 

actually i just grabbed one at autozone. it was the only local place that had one besides the dealer who wanted more than double. not sure if this link will work....
