what you need to do is start following wires and see where there is a frayed or loose connection and from the symptoms, there IS one somewhere, just have to figure out where(i would start w/ the grounds)

How do I check the BJ's and the hub with the tire on?

Jack up one side of the truck and get into a prone position and grasp the tire at 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock and try to wiggle it. You can try 3 - 9 and such and really put your back into it and feel for any abnormal movement or a sound like "thunk".
