Default RE: lift kit?

That would explain things looking different up front from the drawing I saw. It looks like Fabtech does have a 3" system for the 4x2 Durango, but its foot note talks about not being able to use OEM wheels with it. I guess if I do go for any look it will be in the body lift which should clear a bit larger rubber than the stock 235's.

I'd hate to do the shackles without something on the front end. I can't imagine shifting any more weight off of the back end of a 2WD and stressing the IFS any more than it already is. Though it would lead to an interesting look. 33's on the back and 31's on the front... Again, forget that part of the conversation.

Deerang,

I saw on the Torsion Shackle post that you were planning on doing the lift this time last year, did you complete it?

I've found alot of great info on the torsion bar/shackle lift from this site. I really appreciate the info. If anyone is interested, I've put together some of the posts into a set of directions.

My email is rob_497@yahoo.com, use the subject Durango Lift and I will send you the files.

Thanks to everyone on this site, I've learned alot.

Is there anyone with instructions to install the Belltech Rear Hanger Kit? Since we are doing the reverse of the intended install, what procedure do we follow?

I came to me last night that I had no idea what to do when I purchased the kit.

Here's a link to an older post that talked about and showed pictures of installing the suspension lift kit. I think there's enough to go on to make a go at it.

Hopefully you purchased the right Kit (belltech6400) [sm=chattypair.gif].
But if you want i can snap some pics of my TS when i get her back from the shop. Heres what it will look like when completed
NOTE*** Bumper will not be as high i have a 3"BL so its raised

Another quickie the order for installation is, jacked up by frame/remove- bumpercover/bumper-Hitch(Can be the hardest part must be removed becuse cant remove Shackle bolt) Then remove and replace shackles with Belltech and large washers, replace and ride.

Here are some pics of my 98 with the TS and Body lift. 33's on oem wheels. Kept it simple, looks and rides good.
