Default Washer fluid problem

I have an odd problem on hand. I just got my 2000 D back from the shop and the washer fluid controls are backwards. When I push in the rear windshield washer it sprays fluid out of the front windshield washers but the back wiper is on. Vica versa for the front wipers. Hopefully this is an easy fix. Any suggestions? Its got the 5.9 magnum

Yea there is an easy fix.

You just got it back from the shop and NOW its FUBAR?

Take it back. It's that simple.

yea if it was fine before it went into the shop they screwed something up, might be something as simple as plugging the washer fluid pumps in backwards, but they should still fix it

Just wanted to bump this one, as my washer fluids are backwards also. They had been working fine, and I haven't messed with the hoses or pumps or anything, and the car has not been to the shop. I haven't bothered with fixing it yet, as I just clean the back and the front at the same time. Kinda funny though.

Guys, is it hard to imagine two pumps with two rubber hoses going to them? Swap the hoses.

The problem is not so much just "fixing" it by switching the hoses at the shroud. I was more curious why it started doing this in the first place since none of the hoses or electrical connectors were touched to begin with.

My '01 FSM shows that the front wiper washer pump is controlled by the CTM (under left side kick panel), and the rear pump motor is controlled by the HVAC system (where the switch is) and not the CTM. I found no wiring commonality at all.

So, it's really hard for me to imagine they magically changed functions with no physical contact. That's all I got.

It is as simple as switching the hoses. I accidentally hooked mine up wrong after removing the tank and fan shroud replacing the water pump as they are two of the same size hoses approximately the same length and can easily be switched. Pop the hood and switch the small outlet hoses. My guess is someone is messing with your head playing a joke on you intentionally if you didn't work on that prior. To my knowledge there is no possible way for it to spontaneously switch from front to rear by itself.
