Default 4X4 shifting problem

Hey guys, I need help! My 2000 4.7 durango sport with a NV 231 transfer case is not shifting out of neutral! I put in 4HI and it shifted odd into 4HI almost like something got jammed into the plastic sliding piece with the shifter. I then put it into 2wd and the shifter lever was moving around alot , it is normally very solid . When I got back to my house I tried to move it around to see what was wrong with it, I went from 2wd to N to 4LO and back to N and now the shifter will not move at all . It almost seems like there is debris stuck in the shifting column or could this be a T-Case shifting linkage problem , let me know what you guys think . Im currently broken down with a non usable truck about 300 miles from my home due to the holiday so any help is appreciated.

i would get underneath and see if the linkage is somehow jammed, sounds to me like thats what the problem is.

Sounds like the linkage lost a coupler or bushing. Get under it like Sharps said.
