Default Remote start

Has anyone put a remote start on their truck? Is been looking around and found a million and one brands out there so not really sure where to possibly start. Any suggestions on a brand? Which one works best and had the most range? Looking for an alarm/remote start combo.

I have a Prestige remotestart/alarm. It works great especially in cold weather! I've had good experiences with DEI products. Just throwing a name out here. I'm in no way a shill for them. LOL!

I would stay away from them personally because they alwasy seem to mess up the factory alarm. When they go out causing wiring nightmare that you finally nail down to the aftermarket system contrudicting with the factory system.....LOL

Yes there is a bunch of remote starts without an alarm out there. I know Python and Viper have them just to name a few.

Hydra, that's what I was afraid of and one of the reasons I posted on here first before jumping in.

be afraid, be very afraid.......LOL

Anyway, all Durangos come with the factory alarm. Now I have seen a member or 2 that had a OEM FACTORY alarm that also included a remote starter. I personally never seen one other than a picture. Don't remember much of anything else about that thread?

I don't have an alarm in mine either

And to hydra, that being said I wonder if it's possible to get the remote start module from a dealer and just a replacement fob that had the start button on it...
