Now that is a big motor for a small chassis. I bet they had a lot of cutting do do, not to mention I would assume emissions isn't an issue where that was built.

Hell, the V10 barely fits in my truck. I have to use a long screw driver just to get the air hat off the air box.

so basically not something a newbie should do lmfao

I couldnt imagine having an newer gen v10 viper engine strapped in a stock looking durango and haveing it topped off with an 2 huge azz turbo's

If I was to do that, I would video tape every drive I take when I open her up for a few seconds on a street just watching every pedestrians looking around wondering where the scream came from lol.

No, not at all a project for even an advanced engine worker. Like hydra said they completely redid the entire engine bay and IIRC they ended up extending the hood a bit to accommodate the huge engine.

Shoot, I put a stage 3 chip on my 3500 with the Cummins and took the silencer ring off the turbo, you should see the looks I get when I open it up and a plume of black smoke comes out of my reared!

Oh lord hydra. LOL if it were only so easy. I have seen one person successfully do this and it was on YouTube. I think it would be interesting to swap the cummins in the D and put my 5.9 in the 3500. LOL

Man, the only reason I bought the Durango was cause I was tired of spending the money on diesel for my truck just to go back and forth to work. I would go throught the trouble of putting a diesel in it. I am actually going in the morning to Houston to pick up a junkyard motor for it. A gas engine Isnt that a Camaro------>

Yeah I just thought is was a little odd on a dodge forum to look over at the little smilies and see a Camaro. Actually the body style changed very little from 82-92 or 93. Just like most of GM's cars

iv wondered that too haha, but reason I tell thats an 90-92 is because those years were the only years that had the option of stripes

but I dont belive its suppose to be any exact body style as theres the stries from an 90-92 car, but then there is also the missing chin spoiler and black painted mirrors from an bertelenna (my bad about spelling) lt/sport coupe, but then again it doesnt have the slots in the front end like sport coupes and whatnot had most years. Plus it also has more of an chevy bowtie symbol on the liscence plate, they didnt get those tell 1990 if im not mistaken, possibly 1989.

Well 93 was quite diffrent in its way, at angels they look somewhat simlar as thirdgens, but 93's had much rounder tailights, along with rounder headlight housings, curvier hoods, just to name a few haha, but most impotanly.... the LT1 *drool*

Well I found a junkyard motor with 73,000 miles on it and picked it up thursday. I spent all Christmas weekend on it and drove it to work this morning. It ran good last night when i finished it. I took it for a test drive and the positrac did little to slow the rear tires down. I had no problem leaving two stripes on the asphalt but this morning I picked up an engine light and a low idle condition with a slight vibration at idle. I think it might be a misfire on one of the cylinders. I'll find out tonight when i get home and put a code reader on it. So far though I like it. It rides smooth of course it only has 83,000 miles on the body so it should still be fairly tight.
