some idiot wants to charge 12k for a LOWERED TRUCK??????? is he out of his mind? please take the time to call him and explain that only losers lower trucks and that if he wants to sell it he should return it to at least stock ride height and fix the deer damage (and that is just to sell it, not to get his 12k asking price)
Yeah as far as that lowered truck goes, HAHAHA! I would laugh in that guys face gosh I couldn't imagine paying $3000 for a lowered truck let alone $12k for it lowered to the ground. That sounds like a fair price an the 318 (5.2L) is a very solid engine. Good luck on getting that check!!
I bought my 01 new with a 4.7 and no tow package. I am not a light footed driver and 145K later this truck still puts up with my abuse. It's a torque monster in my opinion for the displacement. Towed sleds / watercraft / and boats for years. I have several vehicles - use many forums for the various brands but this one is by far the best source of information. Between the reliability of this truck and the information available via this site - if you have a hair on your *** you will be able to maintain it on your own most of the time.

I'm seriously thinking about a Challenger but the Durango will be in my driveway long after the tailgate has rusted off the hinges!

this one was only 3750.... now there is a dealer right down the road that got a 99 and a 00 d in stock. ill have to check them out
I would be very careful with a truck with that many miles, especially if it had tenoriginal engine and transmission.
Na, i would not even consider a truck with more than 160,000 miles on it... only 3 im considering are the '98 with 150,300 on it or the '00 with 137,500 it oh, and a '99 with 142,280 on it. Perfer the 98 or 00 cause there both red. the wife thinks the red ones make the truck look hot..lol i tend to agree with her on that one..... One question i do have.. not important tho but, do the D's have the overhead console with the direction and temp thing in it? if not would it be easy to add one? just wondering... im already drumming up mods to do and i dont even have the truck yet.
here is the link to the pic's for the '98 if ya wanna look......
