Hey I have my durango on 33s right now... I am lookin to buy the 5.5 inch suspension lift and go to 37s.. Can anyone help me out on what i should look for gears and axels ...thanx
man, if you're gonna go that big I would say do a SAS.
find an old ford f-150 front dana 44 (70's axles work best) and base your lift off of there. you'll need a minimum of 8-10 inches of lift.
have you ruled out 35s? You would deff fit 35's with some minor cutting and 5.5" lift!
I was thinking going to 37's to, but thats just way to big and it chops your mpgs on an already not too efficient truck lol
Boy I"ll tell you jmess, it"s like we called each other...your D is the spitting image of mine! Nice straight body and the color looks like my "loredda" too, is it Chili Pepper Red? When you get around to putting your 33"s on post some info about it (any modifications, problems etc.) as this is going to be my next upgrade also...kingoftow
no problem. and im pretty sure its chili pepper red. im not 100% though
Ya i have a 3 inch body in it now with torsion bar and im goin up 5 and a half inches from that so ill have a total of 10 and a half inches... I want my d to really stand out... What kinda gears shout I go..
solid axle swap, its the proper way to build one of these trucks up for off-roading, and if you want to put bigger than 36" or so on it you will destroy CV joints and axle half shafts if you dont swap out to a solid axle
O ok i know that... Thats why I was askin suggestions on what ehicle i could take a solid axel off that would fit on my durango... and then also lookin to see what gears i should go to help push these tires lol
