man, if you're gonna go that big I would say do a SAS.

find an old ford f-150 front dana 44 (70's axles work best) and base your lift off of there. you'll need a minimum of 8-10 inches of lift.

have you ruled out 35s? You would deff fit 35's with some minor cutting and 5.5" lift!

I was thinking going to 37's to, but thats just way to big and it chops your mpgs on an already not too efficient truck lol

Quick question did you spray paint your wheels yourself ? what did you use i want to to the same thing to mine

clean them with paint thinner

sand them

prime them wait 30 minutes between each coat

after the primer is done, paint them. 30 minutes in between each layer

you also need to clean them w/ paint thinner after you sand them but before you paint them

Ya i have a 3 inch body in it now with torsion bar and im goin up 5 and a half inches from that so ill have a total of 10 and a half inches... I want my d to really stand out... What kinda gears shout I go..

solid axle swap, its the proper way to build one of these trucks up for off-roading, and if you want to put bigger than 36" or so on it you will destroy CV joints and axle half shafts if you dont swap out to a solid axle

O ok i know that... Thats why I was askin suggestions on what ehicle i could take a solid axel off that would fit on my durango... and then also lookin to see what gears i should go to help push these tires lol

pm the member varsis from the 2nd gen dakota section, he did a SAS on his dakota, same chasis, so he will be able to help you with it
