You can run 33x 12.50's all day long with the body lift, I do. I have a little scrubbage on full steering lock but its just on the black plastic in the fender well. No biggy. Good Luck!!

Default towing my D...

Hey shrpshtr325, I want to be able to tow my 1998 Durango behind my motorhome with all four wheels on the ground. Can I just put the transfer case in neutral, unlock the steering and pull it down the road with either my 5000lb. Valley or my 7,500lb. Blue Ox tow bar? Also do you know of any tow tab kits available or should I break out my Mig welder and fab up a bolt on setup...kingoftow

Default ...towing my Durango...

Yeah, from what I can gather, there are several brush guards available for our Durango's. I'm wondering if maybe I can incorporate some brush guard brackets (probably have to beef them up with some creative welding), but at least that would give me some starting mounting points. shrpshtr325, do you know who might make the strongest mounts?...kingoftow

Default ...roof rack...

Hey sadikone1, looks like you had a good time, say about your roof rack...did you mount that directly to your factory cross bars? I attach a Thule roof top pod to the bars on my '98 Durango SLT 'loredda'. I try not to load it heavier than the owners manual says(150 lbs). Did you have to reinforce your rack mounts?...kingoftow

Hey,

No I didn't have to use my factory bars. I threw those out because they were broken. The rack you see is from SURCO and it came with all the hardware necessary. As far as weight goes, Yea it's safe to keep it under that but i think with this new rack the weight max should be 200-250. Not too sure though.

check surco out on ebay, they got great stuff in different sizes!
