I put on Good year Wrangler Silentarmor size P265/75R16 in Oct and have no complaints at all. They rub a little if the truck is flexed such as turning into your driveway or a store. When on flat ground, the tire has about 1/2" clearance between the tire and fender.

On dry pavement its like glue. In the rain, they handle like its dry and in the snow there is very little slipping (unless you get throttle happy and even still they hold themselves excellent). Very highly recommended.

Here's a few pics

You can see how close the tire gets in these pics

Bobman,

The tires you mention should fit no problem. The tires will be little wider and slightly taller. I don't think it may change your speedo very much as you are going from 70 to 75 series tires.

One thing for sure that I learn with these heavy durangos, they run much more stable on wider tires.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I'm getting *real* tired of putting tires on this thing every 30-35k. It's not that they wear uneven, they just plain wear out! I've had Michelin M/T's on our Pacifica and have had great luck with them. 43K & they look like new, and that thing is just about as heavy as my D.

Looks like the speedo is going to change about 4.5 MPH with a tire change. I'm still on the fence about upsizing the tire from stock.

4.5 mph change just going from 70's to 75's profile? that seemed to be a bit extreme. I don't have a calculator to get a exact impact on the speedo.

You can problaby just stick with 70 series tires, but you should be able to go to 265 in width tho.

The R/T's like the one I have, we use 275/60/17's. I am using BFG Long trail touring T/A's. The Touring T/A's is highway all season tire but still pretty rugged for light offroad use. BFG's last quite a while on the Durangos under normal use.
