It's pretty easy - took me less than an hour for the whole job; the hardest part was figuring out how to remove the tilt lever (fail).

I ordered the clockspring module (CSM) from Towne Chrysler (good guys!) - yeah, I could have gotten one online for less, but if anything goes wrong, sticking it up your a$$ would be more fun.
  1. Make sure steering wheel is centered, position wheel at lowest tilt position, do not remove yellow locking tab from new CSM until it is installed
  2. Disconnect battery(!)
  3. Remove airbag (2 screws facing forward on wheel), disconnect 2 wire connectors from airbag (the yellow airbag one is a little tough, but pops straight out)
  4. You might be able to pull the steering wheel without a puller (worked for me):
    1. Loosen steering wheel bolt until you have about 1/8" gap (do not remove nut)
    2. Using equal tension, pull/wiggle wheel out with both hands opposite each other - it will stop on the nut
    3. Loosen bolt more, another 1/8", repeat step 5
    4. Repeat steps 5 & 6 until wheel is free (this method practically eliminates the wheel galling on the shaft)
  5. If the above does not work, use a puller.
  6. Remove the tilt lever (manual says to unscrew it, but I could not figure this out for the life of me!)
  7. Remove upper & lower steering column fascia
  8. If you cannot remove lower because the tilt lever is still attached, do this in warm weather (plastic bits will be a little more cooperative):
    1. Pull off the top column fascia
    2. Remove CSM screw at 1:30 (easy)
    3. Carefully pull lower column fascia out of the way, use a thin phillips screwdriver to remove CSM at 7:30
    4. Use a long thin screwdriver to release locking tabs on both block connectors below CSM, ease connectors off CSM
    5. Carefully work old CSM out - be patient, it will be tight getting past the lower column fascia and steering shaft
  9. Install new CSM (leave locking tab in!)
  10. Connect 2 block connectors to new CSM
  11. Screw in 1:30 & 7:30 screws
  12. Reinstall column fascia
  13. Reinstall steering wheel - use blue Loctite for bolt
  14. Remove locking tab from new CSM
  15. Reconnect & reinstall airbag, reconnect battery, reset electronics, enjoy your horn, cruise, audio controls
