yea i agree w/ indy, 160 is too cold, 180 is as cold as i would go and 195 is stock

+1.......160 is too cold, 180 or 195, but 180 is best for the 5.2L and 5.9L as the heads like to crack between the intake and exhaust valves because of the 195 constant heat.

Thanks guys you are life savers! Now that i think about it when i put that in shortly there after it started doin it! I will change the stat by this weekend and get back with you. Also on spark plugs i run the autolite iridiums with 93 pctane and i dont have any spark knock i love them.

I would not run Autolite Iridium, but each to their own.

Perfect! After puttin in 180 stat and reset the pcm. No more detonation at high rpm and it gets better mpg thanks for your help
