Default Engine just started vibrating!! HELP

Hello everyone...newbie here,

I have a 1999 Durango SLT 4x4, with the 5.9 magnum in it...Just a couple of days ago the engine started to vibrate...It's worse at lower RPM's and the vibration can be felt while in park reving the motor. I have replace the Idler ans tensioner pully, but they had no effect. Up till a couple days ago she ran smooth, then all of a sudden the vibration appeared...Any Ideas?????

Start with a new distibutor cap and rotor along with plugs and wires.

Low idle stumble is a tell tale sign of a bad/failing battery.

The vibration does not go away so it sounds like a missfire to me.

Where does it say the vibration doesn't go away after the idle increases? It doesn't.

Not saying the vibration doesn't go away as the idle increases, but the post doesn't say that at all.

Mmmm not saying the vibration goes away but at the higher rpms it hadrer to notice I guess.

With this vibration I can't really tell if its misfiring, running rough, etc... My original thought was the harmonic balancer was going out???

Says it is worse in the lower RPMS. Could be a battery or alternator problem as well. Could be as simple as cleaning connections on the battery if these trucks are as voltage sensitive as I have read.

First thing that came to my mind when I read the title. Best way to check is removev the belt and see if the inner part with the timing mark wiggles and inspect the back of the pulley with a mirror for missing chunks of rubber. Mine looked pretty bad when I did my heads last week. Got a used one from the salvage for $30.
