P0740
My understanding is that as long as you use ATF +4 you should be fine. I'm not aware of anything special beyond that that is required.
Make sure the fluid is Mopar ATF+4 or equivalent like Valvoline ATF+4(approved by Mopar). Get about 7 quarts and BOTH filters. Make sure all the O-rings are taken out and installed correctly. Check the magnet for any filings. IIRC, P0740 is a LR Solenoid problem.
PO740 almost always indicates an internal problem......usually its the converter clutch itself..By removing pan you will see lots of debri...However a sticking clutch timing valve in the valve body can cause the symptom....PO740 is one of the most dreaded codes because it indicates that the TCC has been 100% commanded on but the PCM does not see the RPM drop..Generally the problem is isolated from the valve body, reaction shaft in pump or converter itself....
