Yep, that's where I would start. Sounds exactly the same as mine. Just ask for a flasher and you should be back in business.

Thanks for the reply! Any ideas on where to find a walkthrough on how to replace it? Thanks!

The older 1998-1999 should be in the main fuse panel, the newer versions 2000-2003 should be under the dash up by the back of the fuse panel.

I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to this stuff. My problem is similar. My hazards work perfectly fine. My left and right turn signals do nothing. If they do work they might flash once, rarely twice.

Does my problem sound like a multi-flasher fix? Is this what I ask for at Autozone?
It is all the same switch, but works off different contacts. This is why hazards can work and turns not. It is called a multi-flasher because it does left turn, right turn, and hazard lights all in one unit.

Just replace the multi-flasher and be done with it. It is a simple plug in relay looking box with like 5 spades on it.

So here's a fun twist. I got to Autozone, looked at the part, and thought, "This doesn't look like anything in my fuse panel." We were looking in the fuse panel to the driver's side of the steering wheel which opens directly to the truck's 3 O'Clock.

It turns out I didn't even have a multiflasher plugged where one should be. So I plug the one in that I just bought and...nothing. Are there two multiflasher ports, one in the fuse panel and one under the dash, like hydrashocker mentioned? I'll look tonight and see what I can find.

Also, do the multi-flashers lock in to the ports? I tried pulling it out and it did not really cooperate. Do I just have to pull hard?

Thanks for everyone who replied to the thread!

Yes, like Hydrashocker said it doesn't go in the main panel. It sounds like yours is like mine - open the driver door and the regular fuse panel is on the end of the dash. You have to go directly behind that panel inside the dash. To get to it you have to go up above the parking brake pedal - get under the dash to see it and reach your arm way up there to get the old one out and new one in. When removing the old one try not to twist it or drop it so you know which way the new one needs to be oriented. Hope this helps. And yes, they are held in tight!
