Yeah, at Autozone we looked at the listing for the part and it said 1999 and earlier it's behind the fuse panel and 2000 and later its at the end of the drivers side dash.

Maybe I have a weird tweener? Who knows.

where does that flasher go. I'm having the same problem with my 2000 4x4 4.7 SLT. I bought the flasher block but can't see where to replace it. Looked in the fuse box on the driversside of the engine

way up under the dash on the backside of the fuse box, the stock one is green. You'll have to reach up from the drivers side footwell. You might be able to get to it easier if you pull the dash bezel off (you literally just pull it off) then unscrew the headlight switch, then you should be able to see it.

thank you so much for telling me it was the "green" block. That made it so much easier to replace

Just a FYI not all trucks have it in this location... mine is located in the front side of the fuse box just after you remove the cover. I believe my neighbors early 99 is also that way. IMHO, that's were it should be located on all the trucks, just wanted to point out that some are located in different places...

that's odd, mines an early 99 also (build date is nov. 98) and mine's up under the dash. It does make sense for it to be on the front of the fusebox rather than on the back.
