4.7 to 5.7 swap
When it comes to Loving a Motor, I would have to save that word for the Hemi.I like the 360 A-LOT..But I LOVE the Hemi...6.1 Stock 425 hp out the door...YEA-BABY YEA !!!
Chevy 350-&- 400 small blocks are the easiest motor to work on and the cheepest to buy horsepower for..The Dodge 360 and 318 are easy to work on, BUT Horsepower cost more..The 318 is a great motor for dependability "like the slant 6, But to pull 400hp out of one would cost too much to be worth it.
Motors That RULE ...
SB- 400 Chevy..
6.1- Hemi...
360-TBI,
501 Cadillac..
304 Jeep..AMC
426 Cobrajet Ford.

I agree the "360 '' is a good motor to work on ,, and for pullin over 400 easy hp out of them isn`1t hard at all ,,,,rated hp is 245/250 on 5.9 which is so under rated ,,,,dyno pulls have yielded 300 and lil over stock ,,,,So yu have a good platform to work from .Stroker are not over priced yu can get them from 1400 -1700 ,,,,I guess it all depends on what yu want from your motors ,,Mine i wouldn`t trade for a ''hemi D '' the 2001 RT`S look better than any 2004 and up D just my opinion lol, and ( whole lot faster and quicker .......... )but a 5.7 swap in place of 4.7 sounds like a good trade up
Chevy should have improved on the TPI and TBI, and not went so far with sensors and elecronic- "EVERYTHING"..I guess all cars are like that now though..The dealer wants you to have to bring them there so they can get $80.00+, per hour to work on it for you.
e3 plugs are worthless, save your money and use the factory recomended plug for the engine (for these trucks its the champion copper core plugs, not sure for the hemi)
the so called 3 points of spark might actually exist when the plugs are BRAND NEW, but as soon as it starts to wear down the spark will only be btwn the electrode and the NEAREST ground, the same as a regular plug, just with more interference around the sides to the flame growth

Thanks, That Makes sense. I changed my plugs to Autolite Platinum after I found out it had Champions in it. They looked great, with a light tan spot on each one . I just don't like Champion plugs.
When you find a way to stab people in the face through the net GET TWO, I'll buy one from you...lol.

lol, you got it man, and idk about the hemi, but on the 5.x series and the 4.7, the platinum plugs seem to cause problems, they were designed to run w/ champions, and that is what they run best, i know the new 4.7 runs bosch plugs which are ****ing expensive, i like using cheap $2 plugs even if it means i have to replace them a little bit more frequently, thats completely worth it IMO, especially in these trucks which were designed around, and run best with the cheap plugs
