well the thing that pushed me away from trying to do it myself was a steering wheel puller. Ive never had to remove a steering wheel and I dont know how hard they are to get off.
Don't let that scare you off. Steering wheel pullers are dirt cheap and, as Hydra said, once you have one pulling the wheel off is a piece of cake.
EDIT: I just read through that ehow link. I'm not sure what you mean by "too much work". Looks like a 20 or 30 minute job to me.
Lol Hydra, I couldn't get the body to frame bolts out and I didnt even think about getting an extended handle socket wrench until the last hour. Mainly because I was unsure if we even had one. If the weather tomorrow is nice again ill go get a car wash (or two) and then snap some pics then, the D is a bit dirty b/c I have to drive through a mud pit to get the key for my work car.
