That means it's a vacuum leak and it is screwing with the runnability of the truck. Dirt and crap can be sucked directly into the motor without any filtration and that can take out a motor! The other thing is does is screw up your settings that the PCM is taking in and makes the vacuum operated emmisions and what not work correctly. You need to fix it today!

Negative....Starts at the Firewall....Ends on the passengers side Fenderwell.....should be behind the headlight. Looks like a cruise control Diapraghm although kind of far away from the throttle...but I didnt design it. Anyhow it should be either right in front or just to the outside of your air filter housing.

I agree, cruise control. Had that happen to my 99 Durango after AC work was done back there. Went to use the cruise and it wasn't there. Fortunately, I had a Dakota at the time and looked at both side by side and was able to figure out what was different.

I prefer duct tape as a quick fix in this situation. Once I was on the road and had to change a head light bulb and reached in and snap. For a quck fix, use some electrical tape to make a nice seal and duct tape around to keep any leaks from occurring.

Not a long-term solution by any means but will keep your computer from going cooky and keeps any leaks out until you get a new hose.

Hey, when I'm on the highway pulling a trailer and still have 400 miles to go the one thing I need most is cruise control LOL. Whatever works, works. That is reason #1 my most widely used tool is a roll of duct tape!

But I agree, when your on the road you should always be perpaired to get-r-done. Old back yard tricks can get ya home, you just don't leave it that way.

Got into a car accident? Duct tape it.
Meteors falling on your house? Duct tape it.

Don't forget the baling wire, second most important tool around.

Ah yes, good ol' baling wire. I had a buddy get into an accident with a trailer jack knifing and ripped his bed and pulled the exhaust out of the CAT and we used some baling wire to keep it up under the truck and from dragging and creating any other problems.
