Been thinking about this, perhaps I could get my wife to give them "The Look" and a stern talking too, but then said nuts would unwind themselves and go hide somewhere safe. ( Thats what mine do ! )

Ha nice one neil. I was just waiting for someone to make a joke about both types of nuts, and you even got a wife in there too. Good job haha

Anyway, I ALWAYS break the nut loose BEFORE lifting it and taking the wheel off. All you need to do is break it loose, just don't take it off of the truck can fall on you.

The only way other than a 1 inch impact gun with some serious ump behind it is at least a 1/2 inch breaker bar and one really long heavy pipe for added leverage.

So, back to the Nuts, Breaking it, Wife, and Impact.........

Hope to get the hubs this w/end, so thanks again for all the tips, and I will let you know how it goes for me, 49yr old with a very bad back, so jobs like this are a bit "slow-go" for me nowadays, not so much spring into action, but a slow painfull creak !

Well I am into this right now, just installing the first side but a bloody monsoon came over and I have the smallest garage you ever saw, so I am rained off for a while, got lucky so far, the dreaded 32mm axle nut came off good with a floorjack under the breaker bar handle on this first side, but quick ?, anyone have a torque figure for the three rear bolts, got the Haynes manual, but I cant seem to find it , thanks
