Another random question:

I want to try to change my spark plugs myself. How difficult is the procedure and what kind of tools will I need? I have the Champion copper cores gapped @ .040 ready to go.

spark plugs are easy, for your 4.7 you need 8 champion copper core spark plugs gapped at .040, a spark plug wrench, and a wrench to fit on the coil over nut (this holds the coils down to the top of the engine), do them one plug at a time so you dont forget which coil goes where

you will probably need to take off the big plastic boxy part of the intake filter line but that is minor

Thanks Shrps... when taking off the airhat, I was thinking of replacing it with a flex pipe but there is a sensor(?) attatched to it @ the throttle opening. What is that and would I have to somehow attach it to the flex pipe?

I believe that is the intake temperature sensor, you need to have that positioned so it can 'see' the airflow going into the engine

Cool... so if the piping i get to replace the airhat does not have a place for that sensor, would i have to drill a hole for it? Or can it be disabled somehow?

you should drill a hole for it, do not disable it or leave it out of the intake pipe, as i said before it need to 'see' the intake flow in order to measure the temperature.
