Well this is a question that you need to ask in the VAN section as we are not exactly sure, however you shouldn't need to buy all the air bags and module to fix the issue, you should only need to buy the ones that went off. Replace them and replace the module like I said ^^^^^^^ up there!

The Air Bag system is a complete and seporate system so it does not share inputs, again I am not completely sure as this is a VAN question!

Evon and hydrashocker

evon, the van is 06 grand caravan.

hydrashocker, i posted in wrong section. i made the error. i wasn't getting a needed answer in van section. you gave me my first response that i could get my teeth into. you said the bags are a separate system, so don't have to think of some other part possibly being bad. i don't have any bags in. could buy ebay for $300. and put in self. module include, but then my $380.00 i still have in bank is gone and if something else comes up that bags don't work, i'm stuck. wish i could just turn darn thing off so i could pass inspection in Georga. Florida doesn't have problem air bag light on

Of course you can turn it off, just flick the bulb in the cluster untill it burns out haha, it's not like they deploy the airbag to test them.....but you didn't hear that from me. Unless their new 2006 scantools read from the airbag module that they have been deployed.

You said it yourself, you are in the incorrect section and we (including I) cannot answer your question as "I and we" are not Van experts. I'm sorry you can't find your answer in the Van section, but that doesn't mean you go posting all over the forum in HOPE you find your answer.

Listen, I don't wanna be one to rock your boat that is a float, however if you can't fix it then you need to take your VAN in and have it fixed the right way. Mexican "fix it" isn't going to work when your lookin at USA laws.

hydrashocker,,your right just take it to the shop and have them fix it. money can fix allot if you have it,,,as i said i don't have the bucks, and just spent the savings. others are not as fortunate to have cash on hand due to what ever circumstances. wish i did but i don't. again and again, i said i am sorry about posting in wrong section. why the other guy and now you keep busting on me. you know in life people and there are allot of them,,they join forces to help others, despite....thats what makes us humans,,

Evon appreciate your attempt to help,,if it were a bulb it would have worked but it's a LED and I don't know if taking it out would cause problem.

And BIFF, having no bulb there is just as bad as having it always "on". it must light for 3 or 4 secs. and then turn off.

Finally in saying. Fellas, who had a desire to help me. THANKS from bottom of my heart. Those who want to post on this forum please don't, unless it's private message, because others just don't like it, since my posts belong in the van section. THANKS again for your help.

Good point on having the bulb lighting up for a few seconds at key on.

The human in me came out and gave you all the information you should need ^^^^^^^^^ up there.

Even though you are posting all around and were even caught, I STILL GAVE YOU YOUR ANSWER to the best of my ability! If you can't see the answer then you obviously aren't going to find it no matter what I state, even though I spelled it out for you. But then you have the nerve to tell me "I'm busting you"? Open your freakin eyes!!!!!

I'm done here!
