Yes always if tbe transmission is in the shop, have them check bands and adjust if necessary. I haven't really seen issues with leaking other than an improper seal so it's more than likely some stupid 2 minute fix.
Usually it's just the pan gasket. Make sure they only fill the trans with ATF+4 and yes your trans should have the bands adjusted and a new filter. Do not power flush!!!!
Well so far so good the seal is holding but now my speedo is fluctating big time. I'm thinking i need to replace the two speed sensors and see if that does the trick. The speedo likes to dip down while driving by quite a bit, and i noticed on another thread that when tires are changed the pcm needs to be programmed. Thoughts?
the pcm only needs to be adjusted if you are changing the tire size, if your speedo is fluctuating i would check the connection at the sensors before anything else
Most likely your speedo issue is either the rear ABS sensor on the top of the diff, or the transmission output sensor on the drivers side mid of the trans.
Hydra thats what i am thinking. Today after taking a CLEP test I started her up and the CEL came on can temp change cause that? This is the third time its come on and autozone wont read the codes anymore.
Typically no it won't cause problems due to temperature change.
My best idea, take it to Advance Auto Parts to check it. LOL Or you can do like I do and just buy your own scanner because you're tired of running around to look them up.
