will this work on my durango... it says it for a 5.2 and 5.9 but under compatability it just says 5.9...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...ries#vi-ilComp

would putting somethin like this on a 5.2 work if its made for a 5.9?

It does say that but underneath it says 97-03 Durango and Dakota 5.2 and 5.9 I would contat seller and ask before purchasing though I have a 4.7 but I would tend to say that the 5.2 and 5.9 seem to have the same intake housing. IMHO I would say yes but verify before purchase.

5.2 and 5.9 have the same tb, airhat and alot of stuff on the outside of the block is identical, so yes it should work just fine.

And the one in the main picture is of the 5.2 I believe. It sure don't look like the 5.9 that's for sure.

My radiator cap is on the upper hose and on the driver side and my windshield washer fluid is next up front by the radiator vs back on the firewall.

widow, i think that was a change around the 2000 model year they moved the cap to the driver side from the passenger side, google a 99 5.9 and it shows the cap on the passenger side.

Colder air = More Mass

The redirected air path is brought in from a much colder intake area so it gets more air mass from the colder air, thus better fuel economy and a better running engine.

Also, with a more direct and smoother path, and a fiber cone filter vs a paper element filter you get much better throttle response and more power because it's less restrictive.

Just google benefits o Cold Air Intake and it can better explain it.
