Default New "Old" Lights

RunnerMatt,

I sanded, polished waxed and installed your old lights I think that they will work out OK. Thank you!

Wow, you did a good job on those, they look way better than before. Nice work. Glad to see they are getting some good use.

Default Polishing

I wet sand the lens by hand with 400 to get the party started, when it is uniformly scuffed I switch to 1000 grit also by hand, and take it to where I want it. When wet it will look like it will when polished. I use a stiff foam polishing pad with Meguiar's polishing compound, then switch to a soft foam pad with the Meguiar's for round 2. Then several good waxing, and it's good to go for a while... This is the same procedure that I used on the headlights of the D, my Mom's RV (Dodge Ram Van 3500) and my Dodge Stratus with good results.
I use this from Harbor Tool, and chuck it up in my drill. You need a threaded coupler and a section of threaded rod or cut off a bolt to have enough length to get into the drill.
